About you


This is an opportunity to be part of a new team of staff to deliver good quality, freshly prepared lunchtime meals to the residents of Edwards Court.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a team, of food preparation and dealing with customers.


You will assist the team to ensure that the food offering is appetising and nutritious as well helping to achieve a 5 star rating with the Food Standards Agency.


You will provide a seamless service to residents, using all your patience and skills to give them the best possible experience.


About the role
As Catering Assistant you will be required to help prepare and serve lunch for a service covering 365 days of the year

You will need to have basic food preparation skills and excellent customer service.


As part of a team you will be responsible for ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.


About the team


You will be part of a small team of approximately 4 staff consisting of a Head Chef, Assistant Chef and catering assistants.

This is an exciting time to become involved with the scheme.

You will have input into how the service expands using customer feedback to develop both the team and the food provision.


Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 25 per week


Salary:
Up to £20,812.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Exeter City Centre, Devon: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Catering: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handling Certificate (required)
  • First Aid at Work Certificate (preferred)
  • NVQ level 2 in a catering service or equivalent experience (preferred)
