Company description
We are a friendly 5 GP Practice, wishing to recruit a Receptionist, who is efficient, well organised, enthusiastic and has experience of working in a customer facing environment and able to deliver first class customer service to our patients.
Job description
Provide general assistance to the practice team in carrying out duties.
Ideally you would need to be EMIS Web trained and able to work alone and have the following:
- The ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with staff and patients.
- To work with confidential and sensitive information.
- To ensure high levels of accuracy are maintained in all aspects of work.
- Be prepared to do extra cover when needed for annual leave and absences.
Administration
- To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
- To work in accordance of written protocols
- Pulling/filing notes for surgeries and updating as necessary
- Filing post in medical records scanning
- Fax and photocopy as requested
Reception
- Receiving patients, consulting with members of practice team
- Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
- Be able to cover all reception position as necessary
Appointments
- Process appointment requests for today/future appointments from patients by telephone and in person.
- Deal with visits/requests
Computer
- Registrations of new patients computer data entry and medical records
- Process patients' changes of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of practice area)
- Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines
Telephone
- Have working knowledge of telephone/bleep system, during and after hours
- Cover for telephonist when necessary
Other Tasks
- Clear rooms after surgeries
- Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm
- Any other tasks allocated by managers

From £18,000.00 per year

- Coventry CV2 2RH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)

- United Kingdom (preferred)
