Description
A research institute based in Cambridge is recruiting for a Head of Finance to lead their finance team.

With a great finance team already in place they are looking for an experienced finance leader to come in and progress their development.

This researchinstitute works on fascinating projects and offer fantastic flexibility for their staff.


Duties:


  • Delivery of effective and efficient financial support, analysis, reporting and initiatives to all levels of management and staff
  • Manage the activities and development of the Finance Team (10 staff)
  • Manage the accounting requirements and assets with an annual budget of approx. £80m
  • Provision of financial analysis, reporting and support to the Executive and Management Teams
  • Finance team leadership, including managing the structure, activities and development of the Finance and Contracts Team
  • Development and implementation of local policy and governance procedures
  • Effective change management: transformation plan, integration of the Project Management Office, risk mitigation, systems management, education, and training
  • Expert input to financial planning, reporting, forecasting, modelling, monitoring and costings

Skills and Experience Required:

  • To be qualified with ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE
  • Experience at Finance Manager/Financial Controller/Head of Finance role
  • Experience managing Finance teams
  • Research industry experience would be beneficial but not essential
