*Refugee Roots* *Job Description* *Admin Assistant 10 hours per week, £6,620 per year.* *Responsible to: *Refugee Roots Charity Director *Location*: 19-21 Lister Gate, Nottingham NG1 7DE *Working Relationships: *Asylum seekers & Refugees, Refugee Roots Charity Director, Staff Team, Volunteers and the Trustees. The staff and volunteers of Tiger Community Hub, the general public, our volunteers, and other agencies and partners working in the area. *Hours of work*: Tuesday 9am to 12pm Wednesday 9am to 12pm Friday 9am to 1pm Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. *Contract Length *Fixed term of two years. Funded by Hilden Charitable Trust. _Refugee Roots was set up in 2001 through St Stephen's' Church in Hyson Green. The vision was to be an inclusive and multicultural church that welcomed those seeking sanctuary. The project continues to work in partnership with the Diocese of Southwell demonstrating the Christian principle of welcome for all people._ _We provide advice, support and guidance to asylum seekers and refugees at all stages of the asylum process to enable them to access local services and establish community links. Working together with local services, churches and other voluntary sector agencies, we promote the integration and independence of our participants._ _We are looking for someone to join the team who is committed to working holistically with asylum seekers and refugees, to support their integration and independence in_ _Nottingham. In this role, you will be expected to work with male and female asylum-seekers and refugees and support them with a range of issues. You will need to be resilient, use your own initiative and have a real 'can-do' approach to your work.
