We have an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic Workplace Health, safety, and wellbeing team as a Wellbeing Coordinator.

This is an interesting and diverse role which interacts with all areas of policing and is a key component for enabling us to support the delivery an excellent policing service that keeps the people of Norfolk and Suffolk safe, protects vulnerable individuals and convicts those who commit crime.

The position
To coordinate and facilitate the day-to-day activities of the wellbeing service provided for Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.

The post holder will be responsible for contributing to the planning and delivery of wellbeing programmes and initiatives for the organisation.

Location
The office locations are Norfolk Police Headquarters in Wymondham (OCC) or Capel St Mary Police Station.


Interested?

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Proven experience and passion of promoting health and wellbeing in a large organisation of wellbeing and/or mental health
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Effective and confident communicator both orally and in writing
  • Experience of coordinating employee engagement programmes
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of police culture and its impact on the wellbeing of staff and officers
  • Ability to deal with difficult conversations with compassion and empathy
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people across different levels of an organisation
  • Ability to undertake research around the topics of wellbeing and report on findings in an effective manner.

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Knowledge of Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) models
  • Experience and or qualification in mental health studies (including Mental Health First Aider)
Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a permanent basis.


Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
