Your New Role
Rocksteady is looking for a Technical Artist on a permanent Contract to join our dedicated and collaborative team working on our upcoming AAA title
Suicide Squad:
Kill the Justice League.
Your Role Accountabilities
- Working alongside content teams to prototype, create and improve quality for shaders and materials.
- Improve and develop shader workflows for art teams.
- Provide documentation and support for art teams to make the best of the technology available.
- Explore new techniques to improve our workflows and push for visual quality.
- Analyse and improve rendering performance and help with rendering budgets for artists.
- Help with bugs for visual and performance issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of rendering basics (PBR, Lighting basics, Shader costs)
- Working knowledge of UV workflows.
- Experience working with shaders in game engines
- Working knowledge of HLSL/other shader languages preferred
- Experience with Substance Designer and procedural material workflows preferred
- Experience with coding languages such as C++, Python, Javascript preferred
