Lead Work Shop Floor Supervisor

£35,000 - £45,000

Essex

To supervise the shop floor and tool stores and to liaise closely with supporting departments.

Main Responsibilities

  • To maintain shop floor discipline
  • Ensure machines are set and operated as efficiently as possible.
  • To provide help and assistance to section supervisors.
  • Efficient running of the tool stores.
  • Machine maintenance and reporting of breakdowns.
  • Maximise machine efficiency and utilisation.
  • To ensure delivery targets are achieved.
  • To ensure company quality procedures and requirements are followed and maintained.
  • Assisting training of new and existing staff
  • To Ensure all Health & Safety and Environmental obligations are met.
Skills and Attributes Required

  • Good organisational skills
  • Management and planning skills
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to lead by example
  • Adaptable to change
  • Flexible with a willingness to learn new techniques
Qualifications or knowledge required

  • Good engineering knowledge
  • Time served in a similar environment.

Salary:
£35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
