Duties:


  • Support school and teacher implementation of College and Career Ready Standards (CCRS) for teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with school educational teams to develop meaningful professional learning plans, rigorous teaching, leading, and learning practices.
  • Identify professional learning gaps to design professional development plans that follow a learning progression.
  • Provide jobembedded professional development such as analyzing student data, using standardsbased curriculum tools, and conducting research to improve instructional practices.
  • Develop and support professional learning communities for school educational teams and teachers that build shared and collective understanding of content/curriculum knowledge.
  • Promote best practices in such areas as: standardsbased instruction, assessment, studentcentered learning environments, learning outcomes, shared leadership, facilitation skills, and reflective practice.

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

  • This position requires a Tier 3 (T3) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

  • You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDDS or DDESS location.
  • Individuals hired from the Continental United States (CONUS) and their family members (who are US citizens) are required to obtain Official Passports prior to departure to the overseas area.
  • Individuals assigned to Italy, England, or Korea, are required to obtain a visa to enter these countries.
  • A secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications:


Minimum Education Requirement:
A Master's degree in the field of
-
Education. The course work must have been completed at or accepted by a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.

  • The undergraduate/graduate course work must have included study in
-
at least three of the following five areas:

  • _Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology:_ Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material.
- _Educational evaluation: _Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments.

This experience must have been in Mathematics grades PK-5.

Professional Licensure/Certification Requirement:

Applicants must be currently certified or certifiable under the current DoDEA standards as a Teacher, Pre-Kindergarten (category 0090) or Kindergarten (category 0095) or elementary (categories 0101, 0102 or A minimum of 12 semester hours of undergraduate or graduate level course work in mathematics is required.

  • Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.

Access to care in a military treatment facility may not be available to civilian employees except on a space available basis. Consequently, host nation medical facilities may be the only care available. The availability and level of care at host nation medical facilities will vary by location.
  • Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a spaceavailable and reimbursable basis only.
