Description

Operational Assist with the management of the SCW CSU IT Services Database Infrastructure Working with complex data, facts and situations requiring analysis, interpretations and comparisons in order to provide a range of options and recommend decisions.

Ensuring the IT Database infrastructure continues to meet the needs of the business.

Ensuring the performance of databases and services in terms of their contribution to business performance and their sustainability Uses database management system software and tools to collect performance statistics and create reports.

Carries out routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of database and related products using defined operational procedures.

Following and refining procedures that contribute to the day to day management of the SQL Server infrastructure within SWCS IT Services including: Checking backups and consistency checks are made Maintaining the security, access control and connectivity to the database environment Assisting with the loading and processing of data Reporting on the storage capacity of database servers
