General Workshop operative
Working hours Monday - Friday

45min lunch break

Salary 18-23K depends on experience +Annual Bonus

21 days holiday + bank holidays,

Car park

Job Purpose:

To support the workshop and stores, the role will require use of the machines in the workshop i.e., Handheld tools, Lapping Machines, Lathe, other engineering machines, in house training will be given.

Potential to get external training where needed.

Key day to day jobs include Striping / cleaning / building Mechanical seals

Check workshop and new seals for Quality on exit

Answering Telephone, taking orders and helping customers.

Helping customers in Trade counter

Meet high standard of housekeeping and maintaining the workshop area

Help with stock takes when needed

Assisting other members of staff as necessary

Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required.

Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and Safety and quality management

Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility


Requirements:


  • Attention to detail
  • Hands on, with tools, or building
  • To be able to work as part team as well as an individual
  • Methodical thinker
  • Able to complete tasks using own initiative
  • Be a problem solver
  • Good organisation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Salary:
£18,000.00-£23,000.00 per year
