SEDSConnective is a voluntary charity based in West Sussex but has global reach.
It actively works to improve and support the lives of neurodivergent people (primarily Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Tourette's syndrome) and associated conditions and those with Symptomatic Hypermobility, EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD).
The multi-award-winning charity also supports families, carers in health, education, social care, employment, and transport accessibility and allied professionals.Purpose
The role is to predominantly support the Chair with overall administration and organisation, helping to run positive active support activities, and local fundraising projects, driving social awareness of our vision and organising the volunteers.
Administrative support to the Chair/charity
- Taking ownership for ensuring the smooth running of events, positive active support activities, and fundraising projects and ensuring the most seamless experience for all stakeholders, including members, and volunteers across all platforms
- Act as a filter to ensure the chair has their schedule and workload prioritised, calendar and mail.

- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Customer administration to all stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload
- Attention to detail
- Good IT Microsoft skills to understand and manage social and digital media platforms, digital filing, and webinars, including data protection and safeguarding awareness.
- Event organisation, running of ongoing activities and fundraising with a wider membership, volunteers, and stakeholders on various platforms
- Must be able to use TEAMS/SharePoint Office 365, Microsoft Excel, and Toggle app effectively
- Good experience, or willingness to learn, running online meetings with the inclusion of taking meetings and arranging breakout rooms
- Diary management in Outlook, working on several calendars, establishing and circulating agendas, and arranging meetings, so editing skills are a must.
- Ability to investigate different areas and use own initiative
Person Specification
Essential
This role will suit someone who is positive, patient, proactive and has a can-do attitude
- Experience in a previous executive assistant role or with experience in a vice chair role in a trustee environment.
- Knowledge of social media and excellent standard use of English
