A fantastic, new opportunity has arisen to become a Outreach Worker, engaging with asylum seekers and refugees in Barnet, intending to assist them with integration into the UK society and move them into more settled lifestyles.
Do you want to work for a caring organisation that believes in people?Knowledge and experience working with both diverse and vulnerable populations?
Ability to work independently and within an interdisciplinary team in a collaborative manner?
Required:
Second language is an advantage but not essential as interpreting lines are available.
You will focus on engaging with people who have fled their home country and sought refuge in the UK.
You will have experience engaging with individuals with multiple and/or complex social needs and demonstrate a determined approach to finding solutions.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener is key.
You will have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important.
But most of the time you will be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference in their lives.
