You will work closely with all departments in the UK and other group companies to ensure we are providing a level of service expected from a market leader.

Although the majority of your time will be spent working in the UK you may be expected to spend some periods working with colleagues in Germany and in other DWT group countries.

Job purpose:


The QHSE Advisor is a key member of the UK organisation ensuring that all projects and processes are in line with statutory obligations.

The role will standardise and strengthen the company's quality, environmental and health & safety approach across the UK organisation and all project sites in the UK and will contribute to the health & safety culture throughout the DWT group.


Your Tasks

  • Develop site critical QHSE documentation in order to perform all works on site, e.g. CoSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments, Work Procedures etc.;
  • Conduct accident/ incident investigation and work with the Head of QHSE to prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimise future recurrences;
  • Develop and facilitate QHSE risk assessments;
  • Coordinate and execute QHSE inspections and internal, subcontractor, and third party audits as directed by the Head of QHSE
  • Conduct investigations, analysis and report findings to the Head of QHSE on:Non conformity reports and root cause analysis
Incidents, near misses, and damages
Key performance indicators (KPI)

  • Assist the Head of QHSE in developing and monitoring QHSE performance, progress, and preventive and corrective action plans.
  • Provide advice and support to the site teams on QHSE issues;
  • Prepare, update and track QHSE statistical data as required
  • Keep up to date with all current Health, Safety & Environmental Laws and practices
  • Assist the Head of QHSE in maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Achilles certifications
  • Conduct and coordinate regular onsite inspections, safe work practices and compliance with UK / ROI legislation
  • Work with Management to satisfy the needs of our customers within the bonds of contractual compliance.
  • Review company QHSE processes and procedures as directed by the Head of QHSE.
  • Support the Head of QHSE on all QHSE matters;

Your Profile

  • A minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in, Health & Safety or Environment;
  • Experience in working with Quality systems;
  • Minimum NVQ Level 5 or equivalent in Quality Management.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK Health & Safety and Environmental regulations;
  • Use data processing and document management systems;
  • Relevant working experience in safety, environment, quality, engineering, HSE management systems, and project management in the wind industry would be advantageous.
