I'm recruiting a QA Testeron behalf of a Technology / App Development client based in Central Bournemouth


This is a new and exciting position to join their growing QA and Production Team, and will involve providing QA Testing services.

The QA Tester works with the Production team to form our internal quality assurance test department. It is this team's responsibility to ensure the quality of our products meet the expectations of clients and partners.

The role demands a thorough and curiousmind set and good problem-solving mentality, asking "What if I ?" whilst testing to ensure all aspects of the product and its functionality work as designed.


They should enjoy building and developing relationships with the team they work with, being tactful and confident in their pursuit of QA perfection.

Job functions:


  • Provide an effective QA service to our growing client base
  • Testing and Evaluation of our software
  • Contribute to production QA & testing strategy
  • Working with the other QA Analysts to deliver effective testing and QA
  • Reporting bugs/issues to the development team
  • Provide high level usability and feedback on testing and potential issues
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits and follow up to ensure solution
  • Suggest solutions when a product malfunctions
  • Knowing our products inside and out so that you can answer questions.
  • Meets regularly with team lead to give feedback to help improve customer service culture, response time and tools to improve staff experience

Requirements:


  • Prior Support / testing experience within the software / App development industry
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of apps
  • Jira, Confluence, Slack
  • Exposure to or responsibility for the development of test automation or test driven development

You will be:


  • Be dedicated to quality assurance and platform testing
  • Have a real passion for technology
  • Have proven experience in testing apps / websites or software
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance processes
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Hours of work are 9:00 to 17:30 (early afternoon finish on Fridays)
