Description
We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our North & East Partnerships and Recruitment team.

As the administrative backbone of our region's growth, you will play a crucial role in driving forward the recruitment to our whole suite of programmes, through building working relationships.

From managing schedules and systemising processes, to liaising with applicants and existing/potential partners, your organisational skills and attention to detail will be put to the test.

This role will focus on supporting the recruitment to our teacher and leader development programmes and will require the successful applicant to work closely with the Head of Partnerships.


Main duties and responsibilities:


  • Provide senior administrative support to the Head of Partnerships and wider team;
  • In the absence of the Line Manager, provide operational management at the Campus;
  • Liaise with the senior team regarding the organisation of the events/meetings diary and preparation of any agenda/programme;
  • Ensure a seamless, positive experience for potential and existing partners, as well as potential applicants, which reflects the NIoT's ethos and values;
  • Liaise with potential applicants/partners before, during and after meetings or events take place and manage an effective administration service;
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information, documents, or conversations;
  • Prepare event spaces fully for events/meetings when needed. Inclusive of layout, ICT/audio equipment and ensure refreshments are organised and provided;
  • Undertake reasonable support requests from other campuses if and when needed, as agreed by line manager;
  • Adhere to office procedures and maintain accurate record keeping;
  • Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues;
  • Demonstrate an active commitment to own professional development;
  • To comply with the National Institute of Teaching policies and procedures at all times;
  • Undertake other reasonable duties (with competence and experience) as requested, in accordance with the changing needs of the organisation.

Essential criteria

  • A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching
  • An interest in the education sector and a belief in the value of teachers and school leaders
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office software packages, such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as search engines and online databases
  • A proactive approach that focuses on solutions
  • Highly proficient in managing and monitoring processes which drive successful reporting
  • A sensitivity to the requirements of different audiences and an ability to adapt style appropriately
  • A track record of, or the potential to coordinate key events or programmes (ideally in the education sector)

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in a remote and geographically distributed team
  • Previous experience in the education sector
  • Experience of using management information systems and/or various online learning environments, particularly Microsoft Teams
  • Previous team coordination/PA experience

This role offers:

  • Contract: Fulltime, fixed term for 12 months
  • Salary: £24,496 £26,845 per annum + benefits
