The role
As a Change Co-Ordinator you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

Babcock provides services including fleet time engineering, facilities management, waterfront services, logistics and transport within an agreed operating budget, firmly focused on continuous and sustainable improvement in warship and submarine support.


Day to day, you'll develop, maintain and control Fleet Programme's change management process in line with Babcock Group's Project Delivery Framework (PDF) and within Fleet Programmes Stage and Gate timelines.


  • You will be the point of contact for Change Management of project scope. You will develop, own and maintain a change management process/system that meets the business requirement
  • Conduct reviews with the project teams, in accordance with the Stage and Gate timelines, to coordinate the accurate and timely capture of change within the project (schedule. costs etc) and when appropriate, emergent tasks are captured accurately in the Variation Order system.
- ensuring that to liase with engineering estimators and project schedulers to capture growth of Labour hours by trade, Sub Contracts, materials, other fixed costs and schedule impacts

  • You will make recommendations on the change management process to the Project Controls Manager and SM Programmes Manager
  • Early identification of project scope changes or programme changes which require a contract uplift within the agreed target cost model
  • Provision of analysis, insight & reporting of growth statistics across fleet projects / programme. Identification and execution of improvement opportunities in process / systems such as planning template updates or scope clarification.

Essential experience of the Change Co-Ordinator,
We are seeking an individual with experience of working within Project Teams that has knowledge of the following areas;

  • Change Management and Variation Order processes
  • Programme / Project Management techniques
  • Risk Management techniques
  • Governance, policy and procedures
  • Communicate at all levels, building constructive and effective relationships to achieve results. Overcoming objections and resistance to change is a key part of this role
  • Planning Estimating and Production System (PEPS)
This is a full time role, based from our Faslane Site, Helensburgh.

You will be expected to attend site a minimum of 1 day per week and the rest can be worked from home.
