A opportunity for an experienced Concessions Buyer to join a fast expanding Accessories Supplier The primary function of the concession buyer is to trade the company through effective management and planning of stocks.

This will include managing intake, allocations to stores, sales, mark downs and promotional activity.

The concession buyer is responsible for working alongside the merchandiser in the purchasing, intake, and distribution of merchandise across the UK, ROI and Central Europe in order to maximise sales.


Opportunity to be Full or Part time.

The Role:


  • Analysis and report on sales performance of the department taking ownership on decisions of any opportunities or risks to sales and profit.
  • Consistent awareness of best and worst sellers for the brand, identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Conduct regular store visits to obtain direct feedback from staff and customers.
  • Understand the key components around profit and how it is calculated.
  • Actions agreed markdowns and analyse the effectiveness of them.
  • Knowledge of the departments stock levels understands the implications of being under or over stocked.
  • Analyses all historical analysis and lessons learnt for strategy pack.
  • Continuously review range in line with current trading to maximise profits.
  • Reviews depth and width, ensuring correct ranking of buys to maximise availability and minimise markdown risk.
  • Understanding the market and up to date knowledge of competitors and comparators
  • Management of the stock & critical path through effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ensure a thorough knowledge of the departmental supply base and the associated advantages and disadvantages of different sources.
  • Accurately maintain the Weekly Sales Stock & Intake (WSSI) ensuring conformance to agreed KPI's.
  • Maintain appropriate balance of price point and product mix throughout the season.
  • Ensure appropriate product launch timing and balance the provision of season appropriate range across all different markets

Skills Required:


  • Preferred demonstrable successful experience in fashion retail merchandising.
  • Passionate about product, a strong market and commercial outlook.
  • Planning and analytical skills.
  • Advanced computer skills particularly with Microsoft Excel.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent academic qualification is desirable.
  • Results driven with sound commercial acumen.
  • Strategic thinker with a handson, actionoriented approach
  • Ability to work under pressure with good judgement and decisionmaking skills.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels and via all channels with Confident in suggesting calculated risks.
  • Proven record of good attendance and flexibility
