School Attendance Officer | Secondary School | Immediate Start | Long Term Contract to go Permanent

Attendance Officer required for a flourishing and oversubscribed comprehensive secondary school in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The Attendance Officer role will involve tracking student attendances and enforcing the provisions rules and policies about truancy. This is an important role within the school, helping to raise achievement by improving school attendance.

The Attendance Officer will be involved in liaising with students and families to promote positive attitudes towards attendance, investigating reasons for absences, making assessments and advising the school of strategies to promote better attendance.

We are looking for somebody that has previously worked as an Attendance Officer either in mainstream, special school or alternative provision.

The post is to start as soon as possible and will be for a long term role with a view to permanency.
