The Post:
An opportunity has arisen for the role of Senior Networking Consultant to join our Networking team in supporting NHS National Services Scotland's network as it transitions toward a cloud-first approach.
- Maintain, update, upgrade and configure NHS National Scotland's network, which supports in the region of 4,000 staff across twenty sites in Scotland and provides high resilience and availability for essential services.
- Lead on decisions regarding technology deployments from a technical perspective.
- Liaise with other disciplines and project teams to help them realise their requirements.
- Diagnose and correct networking issues.
- Help to determine the future strategy for NSS's network, working with colleagues and managers to develop technologies and techniques for enabling the Organisation's vision.
- Act as a technical lead for other members of the team.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Meridian Court, Glasgow.
However, it should be noted that NSS is currently in the process of relocating from Meridian Court to nearby Delta House, 50 West Nile Street Glasgow G1 2NP.
Work pattern - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
