Trainee Accountant - Exeter, United Kingdom - Bush & Co
Description
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm and continue your accountancy career.You will have at least 2 years' experience working for an accounting practice and competent in accounts preparation, preparing company tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping.
Knowledge of personal tax would be an advantage but not essential.You will have knowledge of accounting software's such as Xero, QBO and Sage as well as being very comfortable with Excel.
The role will be based in the corporate team and as such there will be a requirement to spend time out of the office at clients to undertake audits etc.
Main job tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparation of unincorporated & company accounts
- Prepare analysis of accounts
- Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
- Draw up financial reports
- Assist with yearend closings
- Prepare tax computations and returns
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Review and process expense reports.
- Most importantly help look after our clients needs
- At least 2 years' experience working for an accounting practice and competent in accounts preparation, preparing company tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of personal tax would be an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of accounting software's such as Xero, QBO and Sage as well as being very comfortable with Excel.
- Strong communicator.
- The ability to be to selfmotivated towards your studies is important and is demonstrated by part completion of AAT.
