PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION

Managing the forecasting process, inventory management, inventory optimization and supporting other supply chain objectives in order to maximize the operating result.

PLACE IN THE ORGANIZATION

• Reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

CORE ACTIVITIES / RESULT AREAS

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

The Demand Planner:

• Initiates improvement proposals for inventory reduction actions.
• Analyses and reports on a daily basis the most important drivers regarding the stock, both on the supply and on the sales side.
• Formulates sales expectations as soon as new information about a product becomes available such as: advertising campaigns, expanding a range, delayed deliveries or stock problems.
• Makes recommendations regarding up

- and cross-sell activities and portfolio optimization.

• Is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance of new products, assessing the sales of new product lines in order to provide the correct forecasts.
• Is (partly) responsible for drawing up the quarterly reviews per product group to ensure that seasonal items have the correct forecast profile.
• Helps reduce the number of SKUs in consultation with sales teams at the time customer offers are changed (e.g. new shelf plans, new products replacing older products, etc.).
• Use forecasting software to identify products with above and below value by sales channel, analyze/assess causes, and properly update the forecast that may require collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Monitor highrisk orders and act as a liaison between sales and purchasing/production teams to ensure that, where possible, delivery dates are met.
• Disseminate knowledge of the principles of demand planning to sales teams so that supply chain/operational constraints are taken into account in their planning activities.

CONTACTS

INTERNAL

• Daily with sales, purchasing, PD and Production for information transfer.

EXTERNAL

• Monthly with large B2B customers in order to better understand the customer's wishes.

TAKING OVER TASKS

In case of their absence, they are partly replaced by the Supply Chain Manager or partly by their colleague Demand Planner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• MBO+ education in Logistics or Supply Chain.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• The English language spoken and written is required.
• Experience with working with large product stocks is an advantage.
• The Dutch or German language is an advantage.

AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems.
• Knowledge of MSoffice and indepth Excel knowledge.

£25,872.00-£30,000.00 per year
