Acorn Recruitment is hiring an Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Manager based in the Kent area on behalf of its renowned Health Board Trust client.


Roles and responsibilities:

  • Discharge the 6 key requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act 200
  • Discharge the key elements of Section 252A of the NHS Act 2006 (as amended)
  • Comply with the NHS England Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Framework
  • Comply with the NHS England Core Standards for Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response
  • Be responsible for the interpretation of National and Regional EPRR Guidance and assess the implications for the Trust
  • Develop Trust EPRR based on the principles of Integrated Emergency Management Skills for Justice and Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme
  • Manage the EPRR Budget on behalf of the Trust within the Trust Standing Financial Instructions
  • Prepare cases for additional funding to meet EPRR requirements as necessary on the instruction of NHS England EPRR Lead
  • Work with the Kent Resilience Forum on Core Groups and Subgroups as the Acute Hospital Representative
  • Review the National, Local Risk Assessments and Trust Business Impact Assessments to ensure that plans, capabilities and mitigations are robust
  • Act as the principal author of the Trust EPRR Plans, Protocols and Standard Operational Procedures aligned to the prevailing Risks, Threats and Hazard
  • Manage the Trust Organisational Resilience Programme/ Business Continuity Programme
  • Work to the Strategic Business Impact Assessment as defined and agreed by the Executive based on businessCritical Services and IT Systems
  • Taking note of the restrictions around the Government Marking Scheme
  • Induct oncall staff for Significant Incident and Major Incident response and maintain the Trust Master oncall file on Resilience Direct
  • Evaluate and create the Trust EPRR Annual Report based on the outturn of the previous financial Year/NHS England Assurance Programme for approval.
  • Evaluate and create the Forward EPRR Annual Work Plan for agreement
  • Evaluate and create the Trust EPRR Training Needs Analysis for approval annually
  • Draft the Trust EPRR Annual Report statement for inclusion in the Trust Annual Report
  • Create and deliver the Trust EPRR Non
  • Strategic Training Programme aligned to the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme and Skills for Justice

Contract:
Temporary 3 month placement, with the possibility of extension

Hours:
Mon-Fri, 37.5 Hours per week


Salary:
£39,000- £43,380 per annum
