The Role:

As Accounts Assistant your focus will ultimately be to ensure we process financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner with your prime focus on purchase ledger and expenses.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts.


Main Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Financial Controller, oversee the daytoday financial operations of Holibob, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
  • Reconcile bank accounts across multiple currencies
  • Manage supplier and partner inboxes and respond to queries
  • Manage and reconcile the companies expenses software
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Holibob's leadership team
  • Maintain internal control procedures to safeguard the Holibob's assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Conduct regular financial audits to identify and rectify discrepancies or irregularities
  • Review invoices and contracts for accuracy and compliance with Holibob policies
  • Support the Financial Controller to coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual financial audits
  • Providing support to the Finance department as needed, including participation in adhoc projects assigned by the Financial Controller
  • Takes a proactive approach to Accounting activity, anticipating potential opportunities
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • 3+ years of Finance or Accounting experience, preferably in a tech or startup environment, with a complete understanding of purchase ledger and accounts receivable
  • Strong Excel skills, in addition to PowerPoint and Word
  • Be able to adapt to new systems and embrace technology
  • Must have strong work ethic and be well organised
  • Detailoriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Ability to work under pressure and on your own
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and with multiple stakeholders

Pay:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
