Description

Nexfibre is a new £4.5billion venture that sees Liberty Global, Telefónica and InfraVia partner to create a New Fibre Network in the UK covering up to 7 Million Homes.

Our respective expertise in fibre network deployment, financing and operations, togetherwith VMO2's industrial scale construction know-how, will be key to creating this UK network, making a positive impact into our community and environment


JOB PURPOSE Accountable for defining the design of the FTTH network in line with strategic and financial targets. Control and acceptance of the detailed design for the network roll-out, ensuring that street-level plans align to the overalltarget architecture/design rules and that variance from design is minimized during build. Also, monitor and control the achievement of wayleaves and local authorities permits to ensure the viability of the design.


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Deep FTTH technical network architecture design and permitting and wayleaves processes experience, ideally gained within a large network deployment environment - Good understanding andexperience of relevant technologies and systems - Strong record of people management in a technical environment, including communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills - Have expertise in Openreach PIA requirements, being comfortable interfacingwith Openreach and the build team - Experience of analysing, assessing and resolving complex design requirements, problems and issues - Demonstrate strong influencing and persuading skills, encourage colleagues and teams to change established processes andachieve improvements and best practice - Strong leadership, strategic thinking and analytical skills - Proven ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external working partnerships at all levels through a collaborative approach - Expert atconfidently presenting meaningful business recommendations to senior stakeholders using detailed insight and analysis - Timeliness in all actions with quality consciousness towards services received and provided


DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES:


  • Ideally hold a PMI Project Management Professional or recognised equivalent qualification
  • Experienced in dealing / communicating to the business regarding network build related matters in a clear and concisemanner
  • Experienced in dealing with contractors and client bodies
  • Good analysis skills helping to define risks and recommendations regarding build execution
  • Experienced and knowledge of working with local authorities
