Alexander Steele are on the lookout for an experienced and dedicated Production Team Leader in Newcastle. This is a great opportunity to work with a well-established food manufacturer, who look to progress your career.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Production Team Leader oversees and manages the production operatives which includes assigning tasks, monitoring work progress, and ensuring that team members adhere to safety and quality concerns.
They will collaborate with production managers and planners to develop production schedules and ensure that resources, equipment, and materials are available and allocated properly to meet targets.
The Team Leader ensures that products meet the required quality standard. This may include conducting regular quality checks and implementing quality control processes.
Production Team Leaders are responsible for identifying and resolving issues that may arise during the production process. They troubleshoot problems and implement solutions to minimise downtime and production delays.
Expected to track and analyse production metrics, such as output, efficiency, and waste, to identify areas for improvement and implement measures to optimise production performance.
They must ensure all team members follow health and safety protocols by creating a safe environment and highlighting any potential risks.
Team leaders also must ensure that the production process complies with relevant regulations, industry standards and company policies.
