Description

Due to expansion of the SEN Department at Spalding Academy, a number of Teaching Assistant vacancies have arisen for September 2023.

Working as an integral part of the SEN Team,


TEACHING ASSISTANTS
required from September 2023

Salary Range:
£17,850 to £19,251 per annum (Actual) (pending nationally agreed pay increase) Depending on age and experience
5 days per week (32.5 hours), Term time only + INSET

  • Be willing to undertake personal care training or is trained and has experience of it;
  • Be a team player;

  • Show initiative;
  • Adopt a consistent approach to all students;
  • Be flexible in their approach to their working hours;
  • Have a sense of humour.
Essential for the post is the ability to establish mutually respectful and supportive relationships with our students.


The work will be challenging but rewarding and experience of working with students of secondary school age would be an advantage although not essential, as would NVQ2 or above.

Notwithstanding this, we would consider personality and commitment of the utmost importance. Full training will be given.

_Fluency Duty_:


  • In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post._
