Paws Nursery School, a small independent nursery established in 1995 in Warfield, offers high quality pre-school education in a warm and nurturing environment.

We anticipate a vacancy for a part-time Early Years Practitioner to contribute to the educational provision, working collaboratively with a small team.

Nursery sessions run Mon-Fri 9:00-12:00 and 12:30-3:30 with 12:00-12:30 lunch club.

Working hours range from 8:45 start time for morning sessions, ending around 4:00pm for afternoon or full day working shift - to be discussed with suitable applicants.

A limited number of sessions/hours are anticipated initially, with possibility of additional sessions or permanent position if enrollment requires.
Term time only. We are closed during school holidays. The nursery opening hours are in line with schools, not full day nurseries.


Responsibilities:

• Helping to deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum across the nursery, implementing work schemes and lesson plans in line with the requirements of the EYFS.
• Establishing relationships with the children to facilitate their learning and develop and maintain relationships with parents/guardians to further support the children
• Assessing progress and ensuring that records of progress are maintained
• Contributing to the planning of the indoor and outdoor environment in order to provide a positive context for learning and teaching
• Encouraging children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
• Supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication, language and literacy.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a nursery setting.
• Possession of a relevant EYFS qualification equivalent to minimum of NVQ Level 3
