Job overview:

Are you looking to broaden your experience in working with patients with voice disorders?


We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our SLT team in Salford, supporting the outpatient voice service.

This is a great opportunity to enhance skills in managing a caseload for voice disorders. CPD is strongly encouraged and valued within the team. You will have access to regular mentorship and clinical supervision.


Main duties of the job:

The role will involve supporting the voice outpatient service based at Salford Royal Hospital for 2 days a week.


As a team, we continually strive to enhance the quality of our care and place an emphasis on service development, quality improvement and continuing professional development.

There will be multiple opportunities for training and development.

Person specification:


Qualifications:


Essential criteria:


  • HCPC registration
  • Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
  • Post qualification experience of working with adults with voice disorders
  • Awareness of RCSLT dysphagia competencies

Desirable criteria:


  • MRCSLT
  • Evidence of successful completion of relevant short courses
  • Post Basic training in dysphagi

Knowledge:


Essential criteria:


  • Post qualification experience of working with adults with acquired neurological conditions
  • Independent working with dysphagia
  • Experience working in the NHS

Desirable criteria:


  • Experience of working in community settings
