We have an exciting opportunity here at NSF to join our Agriculture team as a
Technical Scheme Lead - Livestock.


What you will be doing:


  • Liaising and providing support to the scheme with technical expertise and advise
  • Providing scheme owners, colleagues (including auditors) and scheme members with technical expertise and advice
  • Working with the Audit Delivery team to provide technical input to auditors for training and calibration purposes and to ensure the standards are robustly audited against the scheme and NSF requirements
  • Maintaining the NSF documented requirements for managing the schemes associated to the role
  • Liaising with key customers to ensure delivering best in class service, establish what reporting/management information they require and work with colleagues to deliver them
  • Prioritising the technical review of all incoming audit reports using external resource where required to meet scheme deadlines
  • Producing management reports on the quality of audit reports submitted by auditors, highlighting areas of concern for follow up by Audit Delivery team
  • Accountable for the closure of nonconformances, liaising with Technical Ops and Technical Support team as required
  • Ensuring that certification decisions are managed correctly in all areas assigned, including an oversight of the management of any suspensions or withdrawals
  • Producing management reports that set out the number of certifications completed with details of any suspensions and withdrawal as and when required
  • Managing any complaints/exposes in a manner that protects any NSF reputational risks
  • Coaching and supporting the Technical Support and Technical Operations team to deliver the standards set for best in class customer service, mentor and oversea the delivery by Technical Operations and Technical Support teams
  • Undertaking any departmental projects allocated
  • Representing NSF at shows/events relevant to area of expertise when requested
  • Working with Sales team to seek new business/growth opportunities
  • Supporting Quality in the maintenance of accreditation for associated schemes.
  • Ensuring team members operate in a safe manner in line with legislation, work health and safety requirements including company policies and procedures
  • Relevant experience and technical knowledge in the scheme areas associated to the role
  • An excellent technical knowledge of the specific agriculture sector associated to the role
  • The qualification required by our scheme owners in the areas assigned to certify
  • Excellent understanding of the operation of thirdparty Certification Schemes within the Agricultural sectors
  • Ability to make difficult decisions, approaching them in a fair and logical way
  • Problem solving skills, establishing root causes and what actions are required to prevent recurring issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to organise and prioritise the workloads of self and team
  • Proficient with key Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. with a desire to learn new businessrelated software
