The Salvation Army Church in Penrith are looking for a Community Programme Co-ordinator to join the existing team to support the running our busy food bank and community programme.


The role will require you to assist in creating a welcoming and safe environment for all who enter our building, meeting clients and giving out food parcels, having an informal chat with clients to discuss their situation and to signposting to relevant supporting agencies. As a welcoming face for our food bank and other activities, you will need to be organised, empathetic and want to help the individuals who use our service. You will also be able to undertake church administration duties to support the Corps Officer.


To be successful:
You will have a willingness to work within our Christian ethos. You will need to be able to prioritise and organise your workload.

Excellent communication skills are needed to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and users of our services the church offers.
