Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

Excavating and preparing groundworks for new builds, extensions, and landscaping projects
Laying foundations, including the installation of reinforcement, formwork, and pouring concrete
Installing drainage systems and ensuring that they are correctly connected to existing systems
Installing utilities such as gas, water, and electricity
Laying kerbs, paving, and other finishing materials
Operating a range of machinery and tools such as excavators, rollers, and compactors
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Collaborating with other trades, such as bricklayers and carpenters, to ensure projects are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
Maintaining equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition

Requirements:

Proven experience in all aspects of groundwork, including excavation, concreting, drainage, and kerbing
Proficient in using a range of machinery and tools, such as excavators, rollers, and compactors
Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing work of a high standard
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends when required
A full and valid driving license
