Job Summary
Supported by the wider management team, this is a key role requiring the post holder to be responsible for co
- ordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives, ensuring that all work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget together with managing the equipment and materials required and ensuring they are onsite ahead of being needed. Responsibilities will also extend to ensuring all Company and legal regulations are adhered to, that all required documentation is completed as necessary, and recording daily work on site.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe workplace, ensuring all personnel onsite follow Health and Safety policies and procedures, that pedestrian and vehicle segregation is maintained, and that all personnel onsite are fully inducted and receive regular toolbox talks.
  • Monitor subcontractors and their work throughout the build process to ensure quality is maintained.
  • Organise onsite work for colleagues including ordering of materials and programming works to ensure the project progresses on time & act as a role model to colleagues.
  • Produce build programmes and ensure these are adhered to in order to meet agreed deadlines.

Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes

  • SMSTS card is essential. First Aid at Work is desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous experience of working in construction is essential.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Enjoy handling various tasks, working under pressure, and can think ahead to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office programmes (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to listen and interpret information provided to identify the important information, capture data accurately and be confident to make key decisions when required.
  • Positive attitude to challenges, and a strong desire to learn and develop.
  • Enjoys a busy environment, balancing changing priorities.
  • Flexible and reliable in terms of attendance, timekeeping, and a desire to see things through to completion.
  • Takes ownership of their own performance and is willing to be flexible where required to support colleagues and the wider areas of work undertaken by Coyde Construction.
