We are looking for a Senior Data Strategy consultant to join a new and rapidly growing team within Arup's Digital Services Portfolio.

The role will be well suited to someone with a strong interest in data/ data science and its practical implementation in the real world.

The Opportunity:


In this role you will Lead/ support delivery of data science strategy and solution development projects, acting as a delivery manager, strategy consultant, business analyst or product owner to design, inform and manage the delivery of innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Lead, support and advise on business development activities relating to data/ data science projects through development of proposals and pitch material.

Work with the team lead on implementing and iterating the Data Science business strategy.

This includes the opportunity to define, and be supported to develop ownership of, a specific area of expertise within the team.

Be an innovator in the built environment through enabling Arup and client teams to understand the opportunity for data science by building a network, attending, or speaking at conferences and inputting to thought leadership publications.


  • Experience of managing the delivering/ supporting the delivery of services for stakeholders (either internal or in a consultancy capacity)
  • Experience in supporting or leading the development of bids and proposals
  • Awareness of the opportunity and challenges associated with enabling organisations to realise the value of their data
  • Ability to recognise client, enduser or other stakeholder needs and translate them into realisable propositions
  • An interest to develop your knowledge and understanding across multiple sectors (transport, energy, water, cities) with a focus on supporting the transition to net zero
