Shifts & Hours:12 hour shifts, 4 on/4 off rotating day and night shifts


Hourly Rate:
£19.74 (Paid breaks)


Annual Salary:
£43,437

Main Duties

  • Duty manager resilience required to successfully pass the duty manager step up training
  • Support the duty manager
  • Manage continuity and consistency of service delivery
  • Deliver high standard of customer service
  • Manage & maintain all SCR systems, equipment and supplies
  • Manage staff training and development. Arrange suitable and required training, ensure all staff suitably qualified
  • Mentor staff
  • Build strong team relationships
  • Manage staff performance in accordance with Mitie HR policies and procedures
  • Manage staff rostering, leave requests, cover gaps
  • Complete handover reports, conduct and manage shift handovers
  • Conduct regular audits on systems, equipment, compliance, processes, and operational standards. Provide audit reports with actions required and progress updates.
  • Propose innovations and initiatives to improve service delivery, performance and reduce costs
  • Conduct staff appraisals, performance reviews, Return to Works and regular 121s meetings
  • Staff investigations and disciplines in accordance with Mitie HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure KPI's and SLA's for the SCR are always met or exceeded
  • Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Report, record and manage all health and safety matters (near misses, RIDDOR, accidents, incidents)
  • Uphold great working relationships with the client, service providers, contractors, occupiers and stakeholders
  • Ensure staff display high standard of personal appearance and uniform
  • Clearly and accurately record data, produce reports and spreadsheets
  • Effectively communicate with Mitie staff & management, service providers, client and stake holders
  • Manage and operate all systems and equipment, maintain full functionality and availability. Effectively report, address and resolve any faults, issues, repairs
  • Maintain a clean, clear and tidy area at all times
  • Supervise, lead and effectively respond to incidents & emergencies
  • Periodically review, assess and evolve existing procedures, documentation and processes
  • Respond proactively to any reasonable management request
  • Understand and adhere to Mitie and REM/Shard Quarter policies and procedures
  • Ensure staff are fully conversant of compliance documentation
  • Ensure all staff in the SCR operate in line with the relevant procedures and are regularly tested on those procedures and processes
  • Ensure that all officers assigned tasks are monitored and checked for compliance.
  • Operating and monitoring CCTV system, conduct and manage CCTV investigations
  • Excellent knowledge of GDPR, ensuring compliance of data processing procedures
