We are committed to helping students achieve their full potential by connecting them with passionate and skilled professionals.We are currently seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Oldham.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant at our PRU school in Oldham, you will play a crucial role in supporting and empowering students who require additional assistance with their behaviour and emotional well-being.
You will work closely with the teaching staff and other professionals to create a safe and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing oneonone and group support to students with challenging behavior.
- Implementing behavior management strategies and interventions.
- Building positive relationships with students, fostering trust and confidence.
- Assisting in the development and delivery of individualised behaviour plans.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and behaviour.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment.
- Encouraging and promoting positive behavior and social skills.
- Assisting in deescalation and crisis management when necessary.
- Promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and diversity within the school community.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with challenging behavior or special educational needs.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deescalate challenging situations.
- A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Relevant qualifications and training are a plus but not mandatory.
Salary:
£95.00-£120.00 per day

Education:
- Bachelor's (preferred)
Experience:
- Special education: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
