If so we have the opportunity for a Experienced Payroll Officer to join us and upskill to Payroll Manager.


This position will be a
Hybrid position and you will be required to work from the office, a minimum of 2 days per week.

Your New Role with Avicenna:


As the Payroll Manager you will be required to oversee the Avicenna payroll for Approximately 1,400 employees whilst working as part of the finance team.


You mainly be responsible for processing as well as overseeing payroll, involvement in the monthly payroll runs and ensuring the employer and employee PAYE are managed and paid in time.


  • Checking the number of hours employees have worked, taken sick (calculate SSP or CSP), or as holiday.
  • Managing 2/3 Payroll Team Members.
  • Processing pay, raises, shift payments and overtime compensation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Collaborating with the human resources department to maintain employee data.
  • Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters.
  • Changing employee bank records when necessary to process payments accurately.
  • Ensure wages are ready in time to be paid by electronic transfer.
