Our client is looking for a head of finance to support the Managing Director of a commercial and leisure services provider on the outskirts of Gloucester, up to £65k/pa.

The role

Leadership & management of finance team

- support the Managing Director and SMT in the development of the company's finance strategy and lead its implementation.

Development and implementation of an effective financial accounting function.
Delivery of monthend accounts and yearend reporting packs.
Develop, implement, embed, and document robust finance and budget management, processes, procedures and framework. Further ensuring the organisation operates within these.
Oversight of payroll, cash forecasting and treasury activities. annual budgeting, rolling forecast and business plan processes.
Production and presentation of management accounts to board.
Prepare departmental policies, procedures, audits, and risk assessments.
Implementation and delivery of GDPR Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA), with a proven background in managing a finance function in a startup or transformation environment.
Proven administrative, leadership and management effectiveness in areas of strategic planning, analysis, and organisational development.
Demonstrable competency in running a finance function including Payroll, VAT and transactional processing.
Experience of business partnering.
Lead development and implementing Financial/Operational BI landscapes for MIS reporting.
Demonstrable understanding and experience of managing risk.
