CARETAKER/HANDY PERSON

Grade 6 SCP 6-9 £12.39 to £13.02 per hour

37 hours a week, Monday to Friday

starting at 8am with some flexibility

52 weeks per year with 26 days holiday entitlement

We are looking for an energetic and motivated person to join our expanding site team.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Maintenance of school property to include painting, decorating, repairs to fittings and small scale improvements, fitting shelves or notice boards.
  • Regular health and safety checks such as fire extinguishers, ladders, fire alarms etc.
  • Janitorial duties and keep the site clear, tidy and free from litter.
  • Movement of stores and equipment around the site.
  • Occasional minibus driving may be required.

nd June 2024**The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements.

The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert.

The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year.


This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process.
