UK Regional Environmental Coordinator
London
As the UK Regional Environmental Coordinator you will be supporting sustainability initiatives in the region.
You will be involved in environmental data verification and consolidation, sustainable energy procurement, waste reduction, and upskilling stakeholders and colleagues for the region via trainings and engagement.

Working Flexibly
This opportunity is location flexible. We will consider requests for locating the role at an alternative Barclays' key UK office from that advertised.
What will you be doing?:
- Initiating and tracking the successful implementation and analysis of Net Zero measures across the commercial, data centre, and retail estate in the UK
- Identifying areas of improvement to reduce environmental impact of our real estate portfolio, whilst collecting and collating UK sustainability data
- Managing quality assurance of data sets of energy, waste, water, and carbon emissions data
- Tracking and assisting the implementation of UK sustainability programs including zero waste campus
- Communicating and educating the relevant teams on changes in environmental policies and practices
- Being the first key contact for local Employee Environmental Networks to cascade information to right internal stakeholders
- Preparing business case presentations for senior leadership and helping coordination of UK sustainability events
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, and Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework
What we're looking for:
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills; master all Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word etc)
- You will have experience in sustainability programme management/implementation
- Bachelor's degree, with focus in sustainability, relevant experience also considered
Skills that will help you in the role:
- You will have proven behavior change experience
- Circularity, zero waste, and/or GHG accounting expertise
- You should have knowledge and detailed understanding of environmental reporting and compliance
Where will you be working?
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
