Overview:

Responsibilities:

Supporting Teaching and Learning:

Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
Work with individuals or small groups of students to provide additional support as needed.
Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to participate actively in their learning.

Safeguarding:

Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of students, following established safeguarding policies and procedures.
Be vigilant to signs of distress or concern and report any issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Create a trusting and open environment where students feel comfortable discussing any challenges they may be facing.

Personal and Social Development:

Act as a positive role model for students, promoting values of kindness, respect, and responsibility.
Support the social and emotional development of students through effective communication and empathy.
Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce the importance of cooperation and teamwork.

Collaboration with Teachers:

Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement effective teaching strategies.
Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom activities and resources.
Provide feedback on students' progress and behaviour to contribute to their overall development.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is desirable.
A caring and friendly attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and a commitment to child welfare.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
