Responsibilities:

Supporting Teaching and Learning:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Work with individuals or small groups of students to provide additional support as needed.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to participate actively in their learning.

Safeguarding:


  • Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of students, following established safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Be vigilant to signs of distress or concern and report any issues promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Create a trusting and open environment where students feel comfortable discussing any challenges they may be facing.

Personal and Social Development:


  • Act as a positive role model for students, promoting values of kindness, respect, and responsibility.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students through effective communication and empathy.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and reinforce the importance of cooperation and teamwork.

Collaboration with Teachers:


  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom activities and resources.
  • Provide feedback on students' progress and behaviour to contribute to their overall development.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is desirable.
  • A caring and friendly attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and a commitment to child welfare.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
