Description

Our client, a major global organisation, urgently require an experienced Design Engineer to undertake a long term contract.

In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:

Experienced within electrical automotive testing (Whole vehicle)
Understanding of component and vehicle EMC test requirement

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

To support the Electrical & Electronic (EE) Test team with:
Management of electrical reliability tests relating to LF & RF noise, power supply robustness and electrical architecture robustness testing.
Management of vehicle compliance to EMC regulations R10
Lead concern identification to root cause investigation including countermeasure

- recommendation.

Support design departments and to ensure the quality of component testing
Creation of test plans to meet with project and design milestones
Creation of testing procedures, confirmation of vehicle spec and test parts required for test, includes arrangement of vehicle transportation when required
Overall vehicle test technical coordination role where required (project leader).
Formal reporting of test results to design sections and to upper management
Ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously
Technical support to the production plant and test house when necessary
Root cause investigation and countermeasure recommendation.
Field investigation support on occasion
Some management of suppliers
