We are seeking to employ and train 3 apprentices. You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as a craft apprentice. You can become a Skilled Fitter / Welder or Skilled Machinist.

Qualifications Required:

Essential - 5 GCSEs at - 4 / A* - C (5 or above preferred), must include maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.

Vacancy Full Description:

We are seeking to employ and train
3 apprentices.

You will receive broad-based training covering many aspects of Aerospace Manufacture, specialising as either a craft apprentice.

Following your apprenticeship, your first appointment will be one of the following roles:

Skilled Machinist x 1

When onsite apprentices will work alongside trained staff to enhance their skills, putting into practise what they have learnt at the EEF.

This can range from:
Shadowing skilled Machinists and CNC Programmers

5 Axis machining

Part and tool setting

Machine operataion

Fabrication machinig

Machine cell organisation, priorities, capacity etc.

Continuous improvements activities

Over 18 to allow full operation of machinery

One or more years in industry would be very benficial

Apprentices will be required to comply with all ethical, environmental and safety regulations.

Training to be provided:

Engineering Basic Skills training off the job full time at Shrewsbury College

NVQ Level

A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3)
In house training in line with your requirements.
