The main central production kitchen within our care village, really is the heart of the village.

Nutrition is such an important part of our resident's lives but food can be a great source of enjoyment for our clients also.

Our kitchen team ensure our Menu's remain season based, changeable and tailored to our resident's taste.

The kitchen team have a passion for food, trying new recipes and sourcing fresh ingredients to ensure the residents get nothing but the best quality food whilst in our care.

Working hours and salary
Varying shift pattern between the hours of

37.5 hours per week

Competitive salary (depending on experience)

What your typical day involves
Food preparation/cook

Ordering of supplies

Check stock levels and rotate produce

Managing a rota for kitchen staff

Managing the kitchen team

Inspection of the kitchen on a daily basis

Creating menus for the week

Who we're looking for
You will be an experience/qualified cook/chef. You will, ideally have worked in a similar setting. You will have a very good understanding of allergies and the importance of nutrition in the elderly. You will be able to present food in an attractive manner for residents who need pureed meals. You will be able to run a kitchen following budgets. You will have good communication skills and work well with senior Management.

We are a care village based in Birmingham/Worcestershire. We provide care of the elderly, including Dementia care, Nursing and respite care.

Set in six acres of tranquil, landscaped grounds, our unique location is accessed by a tree-lined avenue, providing a country setting, whilst enjoying the amenities of an urban location.

Established in 1995, we are a quality care provider registered with CQC care homes in Birmingham. We work in partnership with surrounding local authorities and CCG's to provide good quality care for the elderly.
