The role also requires the Insight Manager to contribute and implement ideas to improve our processes and increase efficiency and productivity.


Working with the Head of Insight and the Commercial team, they will be involved in developing and promoting new propositions in our key markets.

Lead, manage, motivate and develop direct reports to ensure high levels of performance and capability.
Create KPIs for individuals and the team as a whole.
Set clear expectations and provide effective feedback to individuals and the team to help enhanceperformance.
Allocate work between team members, monitor performance, give feedback, provide coaching and manage resource levels within the team.

Keep up to date with developments within UK Financial Services (and more widely where relevant), in terms of investment solutions, products, the market and the industry.

Build and manage effective relationships with a network of relevant industry contacts, to develop and maintain market knowledge, to gather information pertinent to the products, and to provide and develop relevant contacts for commercial opportunities.

Liaise with relevant individuals (internal and external) to identify the future data needs of clients and Defaqto in general.
Plan for the collection and dissemination of relevant data.
Provide specialist insight into the design and development of data withinthe databases.
Work closely with Funds Research to support effective data collection and audit.
Contribute towards the formulation, maintenance and development of methodologies related to theproducts in the relevant investment areas.

Utilise a combination of quantitative and qualitative attributes of each solution to deliver assessments that reflectthe strength and quality of the solution.

Identify, evaluate and develop opportunities for new products.

Take personal responsibility for completing the annual Ratings cycle for assigned specialist areas, from the determination of criteria, preparation for and presentation at annual Ratings Conference, to the scoring and ranking of solutions, involving the manipulationof large volumes of data by the team and the production of reports to meet annual deadlines.

Provide analysis for fund panels and on the investment committees of advisory firms, as and when required.

Develop, research and deliver content addressing Provider / Intermediary / Consumer audiences related to assigned specialist areas - including publications, articles, commentary, newsletters, website content, PR activity, etc.

Work closely with the Marketingteam to ensure delivered content is on-message.
Support the Commercial team to generate sales opportunities.
Attend and contribute to client meetings and other commercial interactions where appropriate.

Collaborate effectively with the Commercial team to gather full client requirements for proposed clientprojects, estimate resources required for delivery and ensure projects can be delivered to appropriate quality standards.

Liaise with Projects Co-ordinator to agree appropriate schedules for client project completion.

Excellent working knowledge of UK Financial Services
