The Opportunity
Do you have experience recruiting IT and digital professionals, and would you like to join the team that supports Parliament to recruit IT and digital talent?

The Parliamentary Digital Service (PDS) are currently hiring a Recruitment Specialist to join their Resourcing Team. The team are responsible for managing PAYE recruitment at all levels within a specialist IT and digital environment.


As our new Recruitment Specialist you'll be responsible for directly managing end to end recruitment campaigns, providing advice on recruitment and selection activities and developing talent pipelines with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion.

Working with the Resourcing Manager you'll also be responsible for:

  • providing specialist recruitment advice and guidance to managers across the Digital Service, particularly with regard to solutions specific for the IT and digital recruitment markets

What You Need
You'll have a strong track-record of resolving challenging IT and/or digital recruitment issues with a good understanding of the challenges of IT and digital recruitment in the public sector


You'll also have:
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with a broad range of people at different levels internally and externally
- proven ability to work effectively within a proactive team, able to share best practice and expertise and solve or escalate issues as appropriate.
- ability to prioritise own workload to ensure delivery of a high-quality recruitment service, often to tight and challenging deadlines
- working in an inclusive and respectful manner, considering individual needs and our diverse culture
- the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK

The Resourcing team sits with in the The Parliamentary Digital Services HR - People & Culture team.

We are a team of HR professionals that enable the delivery of key PDS people objectives and support and contribute towards the delivery of the House of Commons & Parliamentary Digital Service People Strategy.
