We have an opportunity for a Skilled Operative to join our Operations Team at Kara Foodservice as part of Finsbury Food Group.

Established in 1985, Kara offers a wide range of quality sweet and savoury bakery products, including both gourmet butter and vegan brioche buns, doughballs and teacakes.

The Kara Bakery can bake over 1 million baps and burger buns every day.

The In-Shift Hygiene Operative will work as part of Production Team co-ordinating activities within the designated area.

These activities will be designed to ensure the efficient and safe manufacture of the finished product to the correct specification, maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout.


This is what you'll actually do
- _W_ork together with the other members of the team, to ensure the performance of your area meets the production plan. _
- _Monitor quality at your designated area._
- _Ensure performance is maintained in your area by adherence to plant set up, technical specifications and quality assurance processes. _
- _Efficient set up of plant at start of production and at product changeovers and performance monitored throughout._
- _Ensure clean as you go is in operation and good hygiene and housekeeping practices are being carried out. _
- _Ensure adherence to the food safety policies and procedures during handling, preparation and storage of ingredients, allergens and finished goods._
- _Ensure that good Health and Safety practices and behaviours are adopted at all times._
- _Accurate completion of paperwork, recording of M3 data and CCP check._
- _Manage ingredients and toppings at the end of product run to avoid unnecessary waste. _
- _Participate in company initiatives on training and development of both yourself and others._


Ideally this is you
- _Good literacy and numeracy skills_
- _Ability to follow instructions and work at the required standard._
- _Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships._
- _Confidence to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels_
- _A positive and proactive approach with the drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment._
- _Must have basic Reading, Writing and Numeracy skills_
