What will this role achieve?
The role is essential in the evaluation of suppliers and/or manufacturing sites, to supply pladis with a material or product, that is food safe, of the right quality and produced on a site that meets the pladis standards of Safety and Quality.
The role holder identifies and advises on compliance and actions required to ensure SQSE standards are maintained within the Supply Chain, and alerts the business on any risks.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Supports the implementation of the regional Quality + Food Safety strategic plan
- Conducts audits and carries out assessment of suppliers, service providers and internal sites to a prescribed schedule and in line with business requirements
- Works towards integration, standardisation and alignment to deliver consistent standards of quality + food safety across/for pladis
- Audits effective implementation of regional procedures and standards
- Evaluates relevant risks and highlights areas of concern where pladis may be implicated or affected
- Verifies the effectiveness of SQSE Management Systems
- Reviews completion of closeout of issues raised and the commitment to maintain beneficial business relationships
- Communicates and drives action relating to poor audit performance
- Maintains a high level of industry knowledge and awareness through external benchmarking, networking and horizon scanning
- Develops and maintains a high level of expertise and shares this with colleagues and other functions as appropriate
- Provides CIM (Crisis Incident Management), SMT (Strategic Material Team) and RGR (Regional Gate Review) support & reporting as required
Essential
- Detailed knowledge in most Technical disciplines, specifically:
- FS & Q Management Systems (inc. HACCP)
- Material Functionality
- FS&Q 3rd party certification standards
- Auditing experience
- Confident with use of IT systems & software.
- English language fluent written and spoken
- Clean driving licence
- Scientific degree or equivalent
- Formal auditing qualification (ISO Lead Auditor or BRC)
- HACCP (Level 4)
- Food Safety (Level 4)
- Multiple site / country experience
- Multilingual
- Internationally recognised H&S qualification (such as NEBOSH)
- Evidence of refresher training within last 5 years
