Description
Working through an agency, you will administratively assist the buyers in operational, systemic, and procedural aspects of the purchasing process for assigned products or commodities.
You'll also assist buyers in contacting vendors to manage the open order position as well as enabling execution of critical processes to provide optimum effectiveness and efficiency for material supply to the Littlehampton Operations team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the purchasing team with supplier PO management including rescheduling and overdue management
- Identifying and communicating any purchasing issues or problems with delivery / pricing discrepancy
- Assisting purchasing with invoice queries
- Assisting in bound Customs clearance processes
- Assisting in execution of distributor ordering
- Assisting in MRO buying process
- Supporting vendor creation process
SKILLS:
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, juggling simultaneous demands for attention.
- General understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), planning functions, shop floor processes and materials.
- Excellent judgment and initiative, including the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problemsolving skills.
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Minimum of 2 years of related experience is required.
Desirable:
Related experience in electronic or technical companies is preferred.
