A client of ours in the Witham area are recruiting a Transport Planner to join their team.

This is a full-time position working on a shift basis Monday - Friday and paying between £25,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience.


Shifts are as below:
Week 1: 7.00am - 4.00pm

Week 2: 10.00am - 7.00pm


Your key duties in this Transport Planner role will include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and allocating all national and local vehicle resources.
  • Producing vehicle and load manifests/customer paperwork to present to assigned drivers.
  • Providing the main point of contact for the national drivers.
  • Assisting in the management and allocation of the fleets headcount.
  • Greeting each driver and allocating their vehicle keys and manifest of work up.
  • Vehicle costings, revenues and profitability.
  • Subcontractor use and costs.
  • Updating the systems with relevant data.
  • Any other duties required.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:

  • Experience in routing and managing 30+ vehicles.
  • Knowledge of vehicle wights and legal limits.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft packages
  • Experience within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry.
