Location:
Coventry, Derbyshire, UK (Must be flexible to make regular site visits to Belper, Derbyshire)**Salary
:£25 PH PAYE (~£50K Per annum)

We are seeking a resultdriven
Manufacturing Engineer demonstrating tenacity and perseverance, to join a world leading automotive company.

They have been the UK pioneer of Rally Raid racing cars and have since become a market leader inthe design and production of high-performance vehicles developing some of the most innovative, durable, and exciting all-terrain vehicles currently in production.

They have a global reputation and pride themselves on their quality, passion, and performance.
The role is based in Coventry but will need to make regular site visits to Belper, Derbyshire.

The Role:


This is an exciting and fast-moving role that will require the
Manufacturing Engineer to be highly organised, comfortable multitasking and able to deliver in a complex, highly demanding environment.

The
Manufacturing Engineerwill take the lead in making quick, concise decisions, while delegating appropriate resources to the task. The role will include creating production processes that enable a successful launch of new products, from designto manufacturing.

The
Manufacturing Engineer will ensure practicality of designs to meet build requirements, Design for Assembly (DFA) and produce an appropriate Bill of Process (BOP).


Duties and responsibilities of the Manufacturing engineer:

  • Meet quality, volume, and cost targets
  • Lead the planning and delivery of manufacturing production
  • Maintain the engineering process from conception through to delivery, ensuring all metrics are met inc; process performance; capability; safety; quality cost and people.
  • Activity reporting to Stakeholders
  • Development, maintenance, validation, and approval of Standardised Work Instructions
  • Continual and reactive process improvement
  • Support the long
- and short-term goals of the business

  • Strong problemsolving skills, providing justifiable solutions
  • Regularly review process failures, and ensure equipment can maintain high quality output
  • Effective time management, to optimise financial budgets
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
  • Coordinate the support of physical builds at assembly plant locations, raising and managing issues where appropriate

The ideal Manufacturing engineer:


  • Experience of Launch in Manufacturing
  • Microsoft package elements Power Point & Excel
  • Understanding of Statistical Process control, and control plans
  • Experience of Dimensional Maturation and Build Integrity
  • Familiar with low volume manufacture
  • Relevant history of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques including consistent delivery of productivity targets in Manufacturing
  • Experience of management and analysis of data and cost benefits, the production of metrics, the development of plans with defined objectives, and structured problem solving.
  • Proven talent for presenting solutions and leading teams to deliver process improvements
  • Knowledge of Integrated Production System, Quality Operating system, Global Study Process Allocation System audit compliance
  • Experience and working knowledge of Health and Safety Audits and ergonomics including risk assessments.
  • Previous experience of working in an Industrial Engineer role gained in the Automotive Industry
  • An individual who can challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
